Oklahoma

Located in the South Central United States, Oklahoma is a state characterized by plains and severe weather due to its location. The largest population lives in the state’s capital, Oklahoma City. There are 11 different ecological regions within Oklahoma making it one of the most diverse states in the country when ecology is concerned. While most people associate Oklahoma with flat topography, four mountain ranges are actually present in the state.

There are, on average, 54 tornadoes in Oklahoma every year – one of the highest annual rates in the world. These natural occurrences can cause long traffic delays both due to the storm and due to the debris and damage caused by them. Oklahoma is also well known for its diversity in temperature extremes. Temperatures both above 100 degrees F and below 0 degrees F have been registered throughout the state. Average temperatures, however, are generally from 26 to 96 degrees F.

Several major highways run through Oklahoma that are popular routes for auto shippers. These include Interstate 40, Interstate 35 and Interstate 44. All three of these highways meet in Oklahoma City, making it a relatively easy city to ship automobiles to due to it’s accessibility from any surrounding area.
